Our 200 acre farm provides the perfect environment for raising kids and dogs.

We are committed to raising healthy, happy golden retrievers in a family environment. Our six children help us socialize and introduce our puppies to many different environments while in the comfort of their litter-mates.

We put different colored collars on the pups so we can tell them apart. Then we do different temperament tests to determine their personality. We have the client fill out a puppy application, which states the kind of dog they want, as far as sex, color, size, and temperament. Then we match puppy to owner.

We spend a tremendous amount of time with each puppy on an individual basis, testing and playing. The puppies get held every day from the time they are born. They go on about 5 car rides before they leave our home. To the nursing home, school, swimming with their mother, etc.

We also get our puppies acclimated to a crate for potty training. We start them out when they are 6 weeks old putting 3 in a crate at night, then 2, then all alone, so your puppy will have slept alone for at least 4 nights before you get them, which makes the transition a little easier for everyone.

Puppies are sold with a health guarantee; spay/neuter contract and a limited registration with the AKC. Our puppies have their dew claws removed, first set of shots, a vet check, and micro-chip for identification. They have been wormed twice and let out every three hours to get the concept “outside” is where to go potty! They are accustomed to the piano, vacuum cleaner, and all the noises of a home with children.

If you wish to pursue a Rolling Oaks Golden, fill out the puppy application. We will contact you for a phone interview. At that time, if we feel comfortable placing a puppy in your home, and you are confident in us as breeders, you send a deposit of $300.00. Total cost for male or female is $1800.00. Your deposit guarantees you the next available puppy.

When the puppies are born, we will post photos each week on the puppy blog so you can watch your puppy grow. At five weeks you can come out and play with the litter, meet the parents and visit with us about the temperament and personality you want in a puppy.
